Empowering disengaged & disadvantaged Youth

The Kaizen Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation. All trades and income generated will be reinvested into programs development, capacity building and coaches training. This reinvestment drives our mission.

Our mission is to empower our disengaged and disadvantaged youth by improving their sense of self-worth through developing a resilient and positive mindset.

We want to give these young people the opportunity to break the cycle and prevent them from early engagement with the social services and justice system.

The Kaizen Foundation is a registered charity with the ACNC with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status. All donations over $2 are 100% tax-deductible.

Why?

Disengaged young people at school are at risk of continuing the vicious cycle of poor mental and physical health, substance misuse, bullying, harassment, engagement in social systems and entering the justice system.

Young people make decisions often influenced by family and community factors that consequently put them in a disadvantaged position in society.

Did you know?
On average, the day cost of 1 young person in juvie (under 18) is $2700, totalling $985,500 per year. This continuous cycle impacts our society, community and taxpayers’ contributions.

Who are we?

We are a diverse team of Brazilian Jiujitsu practitioners who has experienced the positive life-changing impacts of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

We have a board, team of volunteers and coaches who passionately deliver our programs.
